Printing Finish Options
Lustre
I would probably suggest Lustre as the choice of finish for 90% of the prints out there. It is a nice compliment of the deeper color tones of glossy and the fingerprint finish of matte. Great for prints that may be framed or scrapbooked.
Lustre is a premium finish on a heavier paper. Printed on Kodak Supra Endura Paper.
Glossy and Matte
There are pros and cons to both. Glossy finishes definitely show more details and depth of color, the blacks tend to be blacker and the colors may be more vibrant. If you plan to frame a glossy print be warned that over time, glossy finishes may adhere to the glass and depending on the glass, it may contribute to glare. Fingerprints can sometimes be a problem with Glossy finishes as well.
Matte prints are a nice choice if (a) you are concerned about fingerprints or (b) you are looking for a softer finish--this is especially nice with black and white or sepia tone prints or anything with a softer look. The prints do tend to have a softer look to them, compared to glossy.
Both are printed on Kodak Edge Paper.
Metallic
Metallic prints are great if you have a special photo and you really want the colors and details to "pop." I love this style of printing and recommend it for any special prints you might have. With a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. They are printed on long-lasting Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper.
This paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background. The effect is sometimes described as "chrome on paper."
You'll see extreme sharpness, brightness, and color saturation with an intense black density that increases its appeal. The proprietary laminate layers also increase the durability and tear resistance of the final print, increasing the opportunities for display applications.
Downloading Graphics/Pictures
Please note that while most photos have the option available to be downloaded as either a 1 Mg or 4Mg .jpg file, in some cases the larger file may not be the entire 4Mg, depending on post processing and cropping of the original photo. The graphic that you download if you choose the 4Mg option is the largest file available for that photo.
